Spring Whites to get you through:
Rioja Vega Blanco – Rioja Spain
We all know and like red Riojas, but there are some fantastic whites from Spain which are well worth a try. This is a great, unoaked style that’s fresh and vibrant. 50% Tempranillo Blanco, 25% Viura & 25% Verdejo. It’s also Vegan and Vegetarian friendly.
Gruner Veltliner, Talisman, Torley – Hungary
A beautiful dry wine made from the late ripening Grüner Veltliner grape. Aromas of citrus fruit and green herbs with nuances of white pepper and warm spice. Don’t be frightened of trying this white, I think you’ll like it, everyone I’ve tasted it with has raved about this beauty.
Badajo Bodega Gotica – Rueda, Spain
100% Viura, the grapes are harvested at night and then fermented in state of the art cooling tanks. It’s a crisp dry white that is a pleasure to drink. Fresh aromas of citrus fruit juice and delicate herbs with a creamy delicate body. Give this one a try, also Vegan and Vegetarian friendly !
Catarratto Pinot Grigio Fedele – Sicily
We have been working with the amazing Stefano Girelli for years now and he never fails to produce excellent quality. This wine is Organic, Vegan and Vegetarian and comes from Sicily - you can taste the sunshine in the glass.
